Dr Leong Tiong is a Consultant Breast, Endocrine & General Surgeon in Adelaide.  He graduated from the University of Adelaide and trained as a General Surgeon in South Australia. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014, followed by Fellowship training in Trauma Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

He subsequently trained for 3 years in Breast & Endocrine Surgery at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Adelaide, Mater Hospital Brisbane and the Liverpool Hospital Sydney between 2015-2017.

His field of interest include:

Breast:

  • Benign and malignant breast diseases
  • High risk familial breast cancers  e.g. BRCA 1 and 2
  • Breast reconstruction
  • Breast reduction

Endocrine

  • Thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal gland disorders

Head & Neck

  • Submandibular and parotid gland disorders
  • Thyroglossal and branchial cysts/fistulas

General surgery

  • Hernias (inguinal, femoral, umbilical, ventral, incisional)
  • Skin cancers
  • Gallbladder and appendiceal disorders
  • Skin lumps/bumps and carpal tunnel release
  • Emergency abdominal surgery e.g. bowel obstruction, viscus perforation

Surgical Oncology

  • Splenectomy, lymph node biopsy, infusaport insertion/removal
